Stephen and Conner Brown's Par 3 Golf Tournament!
I wanted to take a moment to talk about some really great kids who are not only an inspiration to the game of golf, but also kids who are helping some really great charitable organizations - like Canine Castaways. Did I mention that they're also extremely business savvy at a young age? Enter Stephen and Conner Brown, ages 10 and 11, founders of the Par 3 Tournament! The boys wanted to try out for the Tiger Team, part of the Tiger Woods Foundation, but found that many charities will not allow kids under the age of 13 to do community service. So, what did these boys decided to do? Start their own tournament for kids ... naturally!!Their first tournament was on January 9, 2010 and raised $400 for the Tiger Woods Learning Center. The held another on February 13 where 32 kids played and $800 was raised for the Red Cross Haiti earthquake relief effort! If that doesn't impress you enough, their third tournament was on May 30 with 39 kids and $935 was raised for donation to the Southern California Youth on Course program!! Not bad for two brothers who aren't even 12 years old!I'm proud to say that these two incredible brothers will be hosting their next tournament on August 28 and will benefit the Canine Castaways. As you all know, Canine Castaways is where I found Mr. Bucky! Please make every effort to join us on Saturday, August 28 at 9:00 AM at the Rancho Park Golf Course in Los Angeles to not only meet these terrific kids who are really doing their part in inspiring others, teaching kids about giving back to the community, and help Mr. Bucky's Canine Castaways! The entry form and more information about Par 3 Golf Tournaments is below.Good luck, boys!
